課程概述	許多場所儲藏了爭議記憶，包括港埠、戰場、戰俘營、監獄、戰事設施如碉堡、壕溝、飛行場等等，每個地點都可能是說故事的場景，然而誰來說，怎麼說？為了彰顯國家民族精神還是該更珍惜個人的痛苦、迷惘與掙扎？暗黑資產是如此需要耐心梳理，不能以過於強勢的燈光照明，不能太快調高對比洗去灰階。這堂課要邀請同學一同來認識暗黑的歷史與記憶，以及暗黑記憶成為襲產(被納入或排除)的過程如何重構城市。暗黑地景觸及國家權威或不合時宜，往往被官方歷史消音以及文化襲產認證排斥，直到近二十年才有暗黑旅遊 (dark tourism)與暗黑襲產經營漸興。然而，暗黑故事說起來並不簡單，預期中的反省批判也未必發生，得到制度認可並不代表歷史的終結，常常，戰爭參與或監禁還是被說成了愛國犧牲的簡單故事。廣島原爆遺址或奧許維茲集中營，如今看似集體學習反省的重要場所，如何定位，背後滿是國際關係與政治意識的競爭。監獄、博物館、文化襲產，這些機構與制度隨著國族主義而茁壯發展，並非巧合，透過理論與經驗案例認識，這堂課希望能引領同學如旅人，走入爭議城市地景，學習在暗黑中看見存在於日常的暴力與解放監禁的機會。
課程目標	本課程選讀文章跨越文化襲產研究、建築史、歷史研究、文化地理學與旅遊研究的相關襲產研究理論，以求促進同學認識襲產研究之跨領域發展。理論之外，案例研究方法(case study)亦為課程重要內容，課程選讀案將包括國內外案例，側重東亞及東南亞案例。尤其本學期將有兩週鎖定韓國暗黑襲產專題，邀請韓國旅英學者李錚炫博士演講。透過以上安排，盼能平衡襲產研究的歐洲本位視野，以亞洲地緣政治中的批判研究案例給相關研究帶來新的可能。
課程要求	1. 出席 (10%, 缺席不可超過兩次，需事先請假，不可抗力緊急事件例外) 2. 發問＋帶領討論 (30%，領讀兩次，每次15%；導讀同學之外，每位同學每次上課準備一個問題，課堂前一天晚上六點之前請貼在作業區「課前討論發問」) 3. 期中口頭報告＋摘要 (15%, 建議由指定題目清單中選題，亦可找老師討論其他擬題，指定題目清單開學公布) 4. 期末報告 (35%，口頭10%加書面25%) 作業說明另詳課程大綱。
